Overview of St. Anthony’s After School program

The After School program is designed to enhance the instructional day by giving students a different approach to the learning process. As educators, we realize that all students do not learn at the same pace. Therefore, the teachers in this program will modify and adjust their instruction for the individual needs of the students. Students will be identified based on academic needs in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Test Taking skills through teacher observations, informal assessments, state assessments and teacher made assessments. A profile will be kept on each student, and as soon as a student is identified as mastering their weakness they will be exited from this program. There will be no more than ten (10) students per one teacher, and team teaching will occur in some instances.
