Mr. J. Wallace Director of Bands

Welcome to the Instrumental Music Program at St. Anthony Academy. The Middle School Band curriculum is designed to install and build upon the fundamentals of music performance so an in- depth music education can take place throughout the student's career at St. Anthony Academy. This class is a performance-based class and will be graded according to the Texas Music Education Association. Students will be required to participate fully in all class periods as well as performances outside of the school day. Students will be graded in two categories which will weigh equally in their overall grade. The goal of this class is to lay the foundation of proper music technique while having fun learning how to play in a concert band.

Rehearsal Expectations All members will:

1) Be on time for all rehearsals.

 2) Quickly and efficiently get their instruments and music ready.

 4) Have a pencil ready. Like any other class, there are notes to be taken.

Band Room Rules

1) Be respectful to your classmates and teacher.

2) Be respectful of instruments and materials.
