Hello to everyone my name is Mr. Doxey I am the Math teacher for St. Anthony 6th, 7th and 8th Grade students. I have been teaching for 7 years mostly with Dallas ISD and sometime in Arlington and Charter schools in Grand Prairie. Teaching is a passion of mine and teaching Math is a cornerstone for kids' livelihood. I am a hands-on, visual aid, guiding teacher. Opening kid's ideas, thoughts, and processes to new steps or remembering the greater math complications they have learned in the past and how it applies to now. Please do not be afraid to reach out for any questions or concerns about anything I am here to help guide and lead the kids with great mentorship and show growth in everyday learning.

Grading System

The grading system is based on the following weighting criteria.
- Classwork ____________________________________ 50%
- Test/Quiz _____________________________________ 40%
- Homework ____________________________________ 10%

Math Objective

- Students are to grow comprehensive and critical thinking methods in math class. Each grade asks something from the students that comes from previous grades. FOCUS and EFFORT are two characteristics that drive my class specifically. These two have to match for you to reach full potential.

-6th Grade / 7th Grade / 8th Grade - desire is to achieve educational excellence, process standards describe ways students are expected to engage in content. Primary goal is Number and Operations; Proportionality: Percents: Expressions, Equations. Students use concepts, algorithms, and properties of rational numbers to explore mathematical relationships in complex situations.

Homework will be only given out

Homework must be completed by next day

Homework is to be completed carefully and neatly.

All missing homework, missing classwork or failing work, requires an ASIP (Academic Success Intervention Plan) form sent home for the parent’s signature.

Absentee/ Late Work
