Description

Learning Mathematics in the classrooms is best achieved when students are actively engaged in the process of learning.  One important skill for a teacher is to have active class interaction with the students which encourages them to ask questions.  Since there are different backgrounds, understandings might be different.

Wait and listen to the questions and observe their faces which may show signs of confusion during lectures.  Lectures are great if there is interaction!

Answering the questions is important in the classroom because math is not about right or wrong, but about why and how.  When the questions become a part of the classroom procedure, more students feel comfortable and join in.  Students today need more!

At St. Anthony, our classes engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and last evaluate.
