Science Assignments

Read pages E16-E19 and do the questions on page E19. Questions (1-5) and write about the physical properties of a lemon. Remember that physical properties are using your 5 senses to describe the lemon.

Create a bar graph and answer the question on the Math Link on page D65.

Answer questions (1-5) on page D73 and write a paragraph describing your favorite season. You must have a main idea sentence and then three supporting details.


Example:

Spring is a season of new beginnings and bright colors. Flowers bloom in an array of colors and sway in the cool breeze. The leaves on the tall trees are bright green and full. The beauty of Spring is the warmth of the sunshine on my face and the soft wind in my hair.

Students created a study guide for their Science vocabulary and the forms water can take in class today. They will need to review this information for a quiz tomorrow.

Write your topic for your Science Project on your index cards. Use your Science textbook or type Third Grade Science Fair Projects in any search engine to locate an experiment.

Answer questions 1-5 for Water Ecosystems and draw either a fresh water ecosystem or a salt water ecosystem for #6.

Create a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting Deciduous forests and Coniferous forests.

Students must write a story describing the day in the life as an animal. The title for this assignment is What Animal Am I? Students will read story to class and class will try to guess what animal your child has chosent to write about.
